Aspiring Leaders Forum 2024

We are proud to share that one of our tutors, Josh Earnshaw, has recently returned from Wellington, where he served as an assistant facilitator at this year’s Aspiring Leaders Forum (ALF). Josh first attended the forum as a delegate in 2021, during his time as a first-year resident at Rochester and Rutherford Hall.

Each year, ALF brings together a diverse group of young adults, aged 18-26, who are nominated by someone who believes in their leadership potential. Over four days, participants engage in discussions on leadership, exploring how values and faith play a role in shaping character and leadership across different areas, including community, arts, business, politics, and sport.

This year, more than 100 delegates gathered in Wellington to hear from keynote speakers at Parliament, participate in sports and recreational activities, and contribute to a community service project, planting at Hikoikoi Reserve in Petone.

As an assistant facilitator, Josh mentored a small group of delegates throughout the week, facilitating conversations and encouraging delegates to dig deeper in to personal conversations that draw on the impressions and observations gathered from the experiences offered.

We were also thrilled to see that Sophie Clarke, one of our tutors from 2022, also attended the event as a photographer.

We’re incredibly proud of Josh’s dedication to service leadership and his role in supporting the next generation of leaders.
